The Secret Lives of Hip, Urban, Cancerous Twenty-Somethings

In case you were curious (you were):

I have turned down multiple invitations to go out and do cool things in recent days to instead stay home and play one of my favorite games - "How Much Fur Can I Brush Out From My Cat."

All the jokes about me eventually becoming a cat lady suddenly feel much more real.

  5. So did you vigorously brush the cat because he didn't bring you much comfort or is the cat back on your good side? Or neither? No need to respond:)

Here is an idea. Since the usual menu of things that make you feel happy didn't go over so well, try seeing now how you feel about the usually miserablel menu of things !

    Hey,
there is no accounting for how hormones in flux can make an otherwise normal person pretty crazy.

Tatiana just finished the book, Shiloh. So for a little field trip, we visited the local animal rescue place. (Shiloh is about an abused dog that gets rescued by a brave country kid, Marty.) I mention this for context so you know what I was doing at an animal rescue building.

Did you know there is great need for people interested in becoming foster parents for cats? You can even foster kitties only. The pound/animal orphanage/humane society around here requires the owner to bring the kitty back to be shown on Pet Adoption Days. Kind of cool, right?

Feel free to tap into me for other valuable information.

  6. Cats are great. Boots (resident cat) is less demanding than anyone else in this house (dogs, husband and kids are all included!) Hope your cat still has some fur left... in case you have several icky days in a row, perhaps swap cats with someone so all of your energy isn't going into just one... you know what I mean? I truly hope you are feeling better. Sounds like your Aunt Melinda might be able to keep you interested and informed on a variety of subjects. =) Take care, my friend!

  7. i think i'm not the only one playing this game - the cat and i seem to be competing. i brush more, she produces fur faster and sheds it more efficently all the over the place.

Aunt Melinda, as much as i would love to foster allcats (yes sara, allcats) its all i can handle to keep the fur in check on this one!
